Job Description:
The Director of the Emergency Department is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the ER department, including staffing, patient flow, and budget management. The Director will also develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of care for patients and maintain compliance with regulatory standard's and Provides supervisory oversight and Consults with staff, physicians and Chief Nursing Officer
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the ER department
- Oversee staffing and patient flow to ensure efficient and effective care
- Manage the ER budget and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
- Act as a liaison between the ER department and other hospital departments, as well as external partners such as insurance companies and emergency medical services
- Provide leadership and mentorship to ER staff
- Continuously assess and improve the quality of care provided in the ER
Qualifications:
AA Degree from an accredited School of Nursing (required to start Bachelor's program within 6 months of hire). Minimum of two years clinical experience. Current WA RN license. Current AHA HCP (BLS for healthcare providers). ACLS, PALS & TNCC within 6 months. Preferred - 2+ years leadership experience, CEN.
